With high-speed precision stitching up to 2.200 stitches per minute, you will complete quilts quicker than ever.
For the longarm frame model (4’ x 12’), you’ll need a room that’s a minimum of 8’ x 16’. A sit-down model (expandable up to 36” x 72”), on the other hand, will fit in a typical, 6’ x 12’ sewing room.
Our first choices are the Glide and Quilter’s Select brands. Omni thread is also a good option.
Sit-down quilters work well for smaller projects like hot pads, wall hangings, table runners, etc. They can also accommodate up to a king-sized quilt; however, you must keep it rolled up as it is heavy. If you choose a frame model, you can delve into the world of computerized quilting, which opens up even more quilting options.

Watch a demonstration of the BERNINA Q-matic longarm quilting automation system at one of our many BERNINA longarm dealers. One of a kind, the BERNINA Q-matic automation uses state-of-the-art technology and is URL certified, the highest standard for safety while running an automated system. Q-matic can be added to your BERNINA stand-up frame at any time as a 100% add-on without having to exchange or discard any parts
The Q-matic system consists of all hardware parts including an industry-standard touch PC, the Q-matic software, and an additional two licenses of the Art&Stitch software.
The BERNINA Q series longarm machines are very easy to maintain because they only need a drop of oil on the hook when you start quilting, and then after every two or three bobbin changes. The exact oiling spot can be seen on this “How To” video. In addition, ensure that the hook area is always free of any lint when you change the bobbin.
